Port Vale sign Dino Visser – Valiants complete the signing of goalkeeper
Port Vale sign Dino Visser: the club have announced the signing of experienced goalkeeper Dino Visser on a one year deal.
The 31 year-old was widely expected to sign for the club after a successful summer trial with the Valiants. The Vale are looking for a deputy to Scott Brown after releasing Jonny Maddison in the summer.
Vale manager John Askey feels that Visser is a reliable deputy if Brown has to be replaced in the first-team. He recently commented: “We need someone who can put a little bit more pressure on him . Or, if Browny does get injured, then somebody who we are not worried about putting in. I think last year we would probably have got a loan in if anything had happened to Browny.”
Visser joins Zak Mills, Danny Whitehead, Theo Robinson, David Fitzpatrick and Devante Rodney in joining the side this summer.
