Our new-look guide takes a look at the League Cup clash against Burton Albion.
It’s been an unbeaten start in the League for the Valiants with a home draw against Northampton Town following an opening away draw against Colchester United. However, manager John Askey may make changes for this League Cup tie with the likes of Mark Cullen (right), Richie Bennett and Cristian Montano all potential starters. Manny Oyeleke is an injury doubt after being subbed following an injury on Saturday.
WATCH OUT FOR
The Valiants could be facing former player Colin Daniel, who moved to Burton Albion from Peterborough United in January. Daniel spent two years at Vale Park between 2014 and 2016 before being released. He made 56 appearances for the Valiants, scoring six times.
It’s a good opportunity for the players again, to test themselves against a team in the league above, and they’re quite a strong team as well, so it’s one that the players will look forward to…
