Port Vale target Mitch Clark leaves Aston Villa
Mitch Clark leaves Aston Villa: Port Vale loanee Mitch Clark has departed his parent club Aston Villa, the player has tweeted.
Attacking full-back Clark has been a significant success at Vale Park while on loan and manager John Askey has expressed an interest in signing the player on a permanent basis. His departure from Villa Park may increase Vale’s desire to add the defender on a permanent basis.
The 20 year-old made just a single senior appearance for Aston Villa but has been a regular pick in the Valiants defence this season.
Since joining the club in August, Clark has made 45 appearances for Port Vale and is expected to line-up in the club’s final game of the season against Bury.
The youngster joined Villa at the age of eight and progressed through the Aston Villa youth ranks to become professional in 2018. The pacy defender has also earned Wales U17 and U19 International caps.
Clark tweeted:
After 12 years at the club my time is finally up, I’d like to thank all my coaches through the years that have helped me get to where I am now. Thank you for all the support over the last couple years, now Looking forward to see what the future holds🙌🏻⚽️ pic.twitter.com/ff7RWLy4ka
