Pre-match talking points
It has been a topsy-turvy time for the Valiants who have now followed two wins with two defeats. The Grimsby match ended in controversial circumstances with manager Neil Aspin embroiled in disputes with both home and away fans.
Manager Neil Aspin has said he will make changes so Vale’s line-up for the cup clash will make interesting viewing with the likes of Idris Kanu and Louis Dodds (right) possible starters. On the other hand, Burton boss Nigel Clough says he will name a strong line-up.

Everybody gets opportunities and if they get left out there are very good reasons and they have to do more to stay in the team…”
