Port Vale sign Tom Conlon: the Valiants have signed trialist Tom Conlon on a one-year deal.
Locally-born midfielder Conlon has impressed while on trial with the club which including playing in a pre-season friendly against Wolves. Manager Neil Aspin told the media: “He gets about the park but he’s prepared to put his foot in and he’s good on the ball.”

Port Vale are pleased to announce to signing of Tom Conlon on a one year deal.
The 22 year old signs after impressing Neil Aspin and his management after a trial spell at the club, which saw the midfielder feature against Nuneaton, Blackpool and Wolves.
Conlon has certainly impressed since arriving and received a great reception after being substituted in last nights 2-2 draw against Wolves.
Neil Aspin is delighted to have signed Conlon, and says the midfielder has many attributes he can bring to the side.
“He’s done really well. He’s infectious in the fact that he gets about the park but he’s prepared to put his foot in and he’s good on the ball. Tom’s done well since he’s been here.”
