Port Vale midfielder Michael O’Connor has tweeted that he is leaving the Valiants after two years with the club.

Midfielder O’Connor joined the club in 2014 and was named player of the year at the end of his first season. However, he has expressed reservation about his lengthy commute from Lincoln where his family are settled.
The news comes on the back of both Richard Duffy and Louis Dodds leaving the club in the last 24 hours.
