Peterborough fans: We thought we’d win the league then our form fell off a cliff
These Posh fans are not a happy bunch ahead of their game with Vale. They think the manager “has lost the plot” and the team is crying out for a striker.

About the fans…
BRISTOL POSH – I’m 68 and I live in Bristol. I used to attend every home game but now I just get to about ten away games a season.
TONYP – I’m 76 and I live in Brisbane. I used to attend every home game but now I just get to about one game a decade!
CLAUDE RAINS – I’m middle aged and a fan since 1981.
How are your team doing?
BRISTOL POSH – I thought we were going to win the league, then again I think that every season. In my opinion, we are better than our current position suggests or at least we would be if we had a goal scorer.
TONYP – I thought we were going to win the league but then again I think that every season. In my opinion, we are better than our current position suggests or at least we would be if we had a better team.
CLAUDE RAINS – Our form has fallen off a cliff since we sold Conor Washington. He shows us that teams really are only as good as their strikers.
Where you think you will finish in terms of league position?
BRISTOL POSH – 10th.
TONYP – Just outside the top six – below Port Vale and Barnsley
CLAUDE RAINS – 12th.
Who should we watch out for?
BRISTOL POSH – Madison.
TONYP – Sorry, top secret.
CLAUDE RAINS – Marcus Maddison will be a danger for you. Ricardo Santos will be a danger for us.
What are your thoughts on your manager?
BRISTOL POSH – He has lost the plot.
TONYP – He tries hard.
CLAUDE RAINS – Talks a good game but he has been found out.
What are your thoughts on your board?
BRISTOL POSH – We have a great chairman.
TONYP – We have a great chairman.
CLAUDE RAINS – Darragh MacAnthony can walk on water and the water should thank him.
Any views and memories of figures involved with both clubs?
BRISTOL POSH – No.
TONYP – Jim Gannon was manager of Posh in 2010, but stayed for only two months. In January 2011 he was appointed manager of Port Vale, but lasted just ten weeks in the job.
CLAUDE RAINS – David Riley was a decent player during a time when our fortunes changed for the better. Sagi Burton would have a fight with his reflection. He would certainly have had one with Jim Gannon. Exodus Geohaghon wasn’t always as bad as he seemed. If you can remember Gary Pollard, you probably need to get out more .
A score prediction?
BRISTOL POSH – 0-2 to Vale.
TONYP – Posh 1 Port Vale 0.
CLAUDE RAINS – Posh 2 (Maddison, Nichols) Port Vale 1.
