Purse heads released quartet
Veteran Darren Purse is one of four Port Vale players to be released while ten other players have been offered contracts by the club.
A press release states:
Ten players have been offered new deals by manager Micky Adams, while four out-of-contract players will not be offered new contracts.
Lee Hughes, who originally signed until the end of the season, has another year on his contract which has been triggered by the club’s promotion to League One.
Micky Adams said: “This has been an exceptionally hard decision, especially after the season we have had.
“I would like to thank every single one of our players for the contribution they have made. These decisions are the hardest part of management and it is something I have thought long and hard about.”
