Club captain Sam Collins has given the Valiants a ringing endorsement telling the Staffordshire Sentinel that “Port Vale is the best club I have been at”.
Collins is signed-up to stay at the Valiants for the next three years and the skipper hopes to take his UEFA qualifications over the course of his stay.
Collins told the newspaper: “Port Vale is the best club I have been at and I would love to go into coaching.”
“I think we have the best young management team in the lower divisions. The team spirit is as good as anywhere I have played and all the players respect the manager and Dean.”
“They give us responsibility, but we also know we can’t cross the line.”
