  1. Just listened to Crawleys manager .

He said he recruited players who play for the love of the game .

Had to change the mentality of just turning up for wages .

    So recruitment was spot on

Liam Kelly failure at Rochdale allegedly success at Crawley Orsi not wanted by Grimsby scored 25 goals I think I've read and big ones in semis and final

That's what sells not players  who just see it as a wage after all there doing something they love for money they ain't grafting for 160 hrs in a month doing 14 to 20 thousand steps a night loading wagons picking socks and Wellington boots and filling slots up with heavier than they should be boxes .

    Well Done Crawley

There are a number of posters on this thread whose time would be better used by producing their business plan for the club and emailing it to Matt Hancock. Spouting stuff on here serves no actual purpose if they really think they know how to make a difference. And telling us it’s not their job is equally a waste of bandwidth.

Ain't a forum a place to express yourself whether it makes a difference or not.

You go all the games so your input should be top of list .

Us who go majority home and few away just come on here and put our views across ,we now they won't make a difference but make our points anyway .

It's like when Jan transfers deadline Day came majority wanteda striker (any striker )but we were ignored and we paid the price.

Sometimes you should listen to your customers.

OK let's have a list the fors and the againsts of having a season ticket.
    The FORS
1 saves you money works out 14.56 a game
2 you get to watch PVFC 23 times.
3 You can use the remaining 8.44 to spend on a few beers at fanzone which is great if you budgeted say 23 quid a game which it would cost on day if haven't got membership.
4 getting one helps to hopefully bring in quality of players required to bring a winning home mentality to the club .
    Against
I it's a big outlay at once for most folk in s.o.t and surrounding areas,I see neighbours have a 12 month rolling direct debit thing going on why Vale haven't that I've no idea .
2 17 contracted players who were not up to standard last season what makes you think they can magically become better.
3 Tues night games we ain't won in two years in league at home
Fors outweigh the againsts however than depends on who's brought in .
The recruitment has to better .
We need to wheel and deal and be rid of those who have given us 18 months of generally loads more downs than ups .

Must admit I like the idea of a 12 month rolling Direct Debit scheme.

It would make sense it's money coming too  Vale all year round, I only know of Stoke doing it because a lad who used go watch Vale and Stoke who just watches Stoke now mentioned it as they have kept there prices same for many a year .

I'm glad Vale charge about the same as them however the difference in quality at 2 clubs on seasons ending is vast .

    We need better players .

Moores got a big job on his hands needs to bring some leaders in .

Who they are I've no idea .

  4. Bought the home and away one last year .

I'd like see us go back to the Motorola home shirt.

Black and white no yellow when will we learn that a light blue third kit will get us relegated No light blue again as that's twice we had blue and gone down both times .

Vale are black and white .

If have to go extreme go pink the lads once played well in pink in fact they won promotion in pink (strange lot ).

You think they would listen to me ,I'm sure they wouldn't and they should have there own plan of how to get folk in the ground, ultimately if we win games and they play well regularly they be better off if everyone paid full price on a matchday ,however losing regularly creates its own hardships and on what seen over what is now for me 32 years of regularly going games its the first time I've felt like do I really need the hassle of it all so I'd like see something different ,imaginative ways to attract support.

This is the season ticket thread after all I just put what I see I'd like see a hungry club who are angry at the sheer ineptitude of last 18 months mainly .

How could they leave us with no striker twice in that time .

    I pay be entertained .

Have a good day and UTV

  7. Let's hope we can find enough good players play on our pitch.

23 home defeats out of last 46 .

Home is not where the heart is yet it should be.

    Play on the pitch .

Football ain't won on paper it's won by having a squad of hungry players .

The Vale squad played like they hated one another last season .

Get Rid of the failing players and do it with no fuss just cold calculated off you go .

Anyone remember the last time we "did our business early"?

Wasn't that the year we signed Shane Tudor, Craig Rocastle, Justin Miller and Paul Edwards.

    Then got relegated.

Yes I remember that however that was years ago this is now .

Need something or someones to turn my head round (like that woman's in death becomes her )at present something to say to me not personally but overall to  all the support ,that we are sorry for very poor seasons work last season we are determined it's not ever going be repeated and we going make players accountable and not let have a easy ride.

I'm not paying 335 quid watch opposition have free go on have a go at our goal with no opposition to it

Get some good  players in  and get rid of those who's times up .

Every different supporter will have there get rid of list .

    It's a big list it's not like it's 1 or 2 it's 8/9.

Not if you're on the Wonder of Port Vale on facebook or Twitter. Some are already in meltdown that "everyone is signing players and we aren't"

    Everyone being Chesterfield

Get your business done and dusted early I'd say is the best policy .

    But this is Vale .

That softly soft club who has not put any failing players on transfer list and if they have they haven't publicly said it too the most important members of the club the actual supporters .

Madden a proven winner gone to Chesterfield no messing about from them seen what he can do and gone straight out and got him .

Personally feel Vale will bring no one in and if they are where they get the money from to do so, season tickets aint even on sale yet .m

So I'm off the mclub gym a winning day every day .

This will just run and run this summer transfers .

Let's make one thing for certain if we had of bought Madden in it would have redeemed a lot of faith that the club are sorry for the lame way they got relegated in fact I'd good as say they may aswell stay in league 2 if they haven't the financial muscle go any further than bottom end of league one.

When I'm seeing scores of play offs championship I'm looking at all 4 sides and thinking you better being a winning team in championship than  a losing team in prem .

Rotherham are serial the fans are on top of the world one season then next there getting relegated yet again just stay around the top of league 1 my message to them .

  10. I've just seen the team.Crawley put together .

Cast offs from other clubs NFL player ,national league players ,hungry players .

You do not have to shop above you have to bring in the winning mentality characters and players

I'd like see some national league hungry players bought to Vale .

Ain't watched any football since Vale lost to Peteboro ain't missed anything by today's scores  two riveting 0-0s in play offs .

A few lads at work got up watch Leeds .

    Should have stayed asleep.

You don't understand why we would want Crawley to beat Crewe if you are not a regular away traveller.

I didn't say that I said I don't know what the fuss is about our so called rivalry with them

On twitter Stoke fans have banter with us which is fine as there our rivals ,Crewe well Crewes Crewe Born in Crewe live in Crewe Die in Crewe ,crack on I say .

Personally I'd like have a look at Crawleys ground if ,Crewe go up be a train to mesen like Peterborough beat 2 carriages full for Crewe away although it was fun when your 16 stone 3 like me I think you conna cram too many of us in lol.

We will see the both earnt the right have a chance go up .

What we earnt the chance go on holiday and have a nice break from football ,(Vale players think they being having a break since xmas).

  12. Well done Crewe .

They hardly spent any money and have had injuries galore .

    Still Crawley/Mk Don's get past .

I've being looking at twitter and seems some of our fans after first game were delighted they lost I find that  odd as they ain't really our rivals just a team we take loads too and it's close other than that I don't care too much for them .

So for them too turn it round well that's very good.

I'd take that lad who scored there first goal over any of our defensive players.

He is a miles better player .

Fair play though on reaching Wembley .

Not a place lose at so all to do.

I have blindly parted with my money since Carol took over, paying when there was no chance of attending. Sorry after two years of absolute dross I would like to see some serious intent from the club regarding recruitment before I commit again.

We all have I'm in the same boat and I've generally bought one last two seasons because of Carol /Clark first season because he was so honest in what he sees /last season mainly Carol not so much Crosby although you could see the team had a way of playing under Crosby just needed better players to do it because at times it was working it stopped working when players were recalled and the remaining ones were error ridden

Think the beginning of end for AC was leaving Arblaster on bench v Cheltenham, and us being absolutely rubbish, apart from still being in league cup glossed over the lack of entertainment, some really poor performances,  but also sum really good ones aswell where we scored goals ,we played well at times but since Charlton home game only played reasonably well for about 5 half's, and you think what the hell am I doing here staring at a wall be more exciting under Moore mainly.

Anyway gone now relegated without a fight which didn't sit well with me ,people who work generally have to give it there all daily or they be out of a job its as simple as that  as always someone who can take mainly anyones position in life .

So when season ticket time comes round which it has done I have to weigh up what's in it for me .

This is where I want see who actually wants /doesn't want play for the supporters.

Anyone can say it you have to show it .

Like me saying I could run a London marathon I couldn't run to the bus stop around the corner.

Talk is cheap action's speak louder than words .

I'm quite happy give Vale 335 quid plus buy a few tops yearly and spend more in ground on half time number's draw.

I want see the right people representing us though .

A fool is easily parted from his money .

    Huddersfield season tickets  are 249.

Vale need to keep prices relatively high to attract better players, and move on ones who have done there best ,but just not quite good enough if they do theres no reason why Vale 2024/25 cannot rise to acceptability again and give the Vale a good name again .

  14. Ain't looked at them .

Do they offer a monthly direct debit as then they have money coming in for all 12 months.

Be interesting see the response to them I take it early bird will end in June will it .

It's probably a bit quiet I understand them keeping same price but you know a bit of inventive pricing wouldn't have gone amiss .

At a ground like Vale there should always be one end where season tickets should be priced a lot cheaper than others.

I'm of the train of thought that once bought there's no turning back .

After last season well you need some imagination keep folk coming and is that big a deal if say every adult in hamil can buy a second /third or fourth season ticket at half price ,the original one .

You have to get the supporters into the ground first once in money, spent  fanzone ,local community pubs etc well the Vale make whatever they don't make entrance to the ground on folk buying once around the ground be that fanzone or inside for example I was paying 2 pounds for a water that's 4 pounds if have 2 .

Ultimately folk will see what standard of player comes in at a guess .

I see none of the contracted players moved on yet .

People are not going want watch all of them again /bar a few .

Crawley town absolutely miles better than us apart from garrity not one player of ours would get in their side

    Wow that's a statement .

    Are they that good 👍

Fair play if are maybe we should sign half of them if they get promoted and release some.

MkDons have Harrison Ezre Tegzel and Crawley have hammered them so maybe some truth in that

  17. Gavin Massey I'm thinking when signed him he's a good signing

    Did

He come from.Wigan who had gone up to championship with really good points amassed total .

He started off OK come off bench v Barnsley and was superb as it was is ball Harrison headed in make 2-2 .

He was Mr Versatile , in Jan 2023 that there no strikers being brought in till Matt Taylor come and he was injured till mid Feb ,so G Massey had too play in unfamiliar positions he did OK some games in fairness to him and at least was willing get out there and play unlike others, but the problem is the losing mentality started amongst the group then, and players were losing weekly and everyone had there own players they were pointing fingers at .

The 3-0 defeat v Accrington was the worst there isn't one player who played that day who I  believe should still represent the club ,us, the performance application disrespect to the away following was like Fleetwood this season and result mirrored the disdain shown to me the higher hierarchy of the club it was disgraceful but to take it out on honest folk who work socks off to afford go any game never mind the 2 mentioned ones which were absolutely the worst kind of footballing professionalism.

Massey was part of both them games in fact he was part of a hell of a lot of very poor results so for every Wigan Charlton Wrexham away/OK performances  there was Accrington,  Fleetwood, and many more very poor ones .

So goodbye overall its the right decision

  18. As FGR have found to there cost that losing mentality clubs ways get you relegated time and time again .

You have to be brutal in situations like this since Jan 2023 there seems to be a core of major losers unfortunately in our squad not 1 or two  a fair few more I'd say.

If Moore is to earn any respect from me (not thst he needs too he is probably a lot lot better off than me which is fine )he has to rid to club of what's being happening since jan  2023 .

If Vale were a graph over last ten years we be a right laughing stock .

I'm not fooled by one promotion in that time

Moore needs to get us on upward rising .

Can he judging by what I'd deemed by players lack of improvement under his leadership I'd say if we cannot rid of serial defeated players, we will  have a big job maintain football league status never mind looking at other end of table.

If couldn't tackle or get close to league one players ,what makes you think these same players can get close to league 2 players and more importantly tackle and get us on front foot and winning games.

So much wrong at Vale he is going need backing to the hilt

  19. Moore will have his contacts .

    Will Vaulks

Left sided player when he got promotion with Sheffield Wed Johnson think his name .

    Matt Smith

    Lee Gregory

    Barry Bannan player /coach captain

    Hutchinson

I think he will have a few from Doncaster also when he did very well there .

Paddy Madden very good finisher I'd take him

I'd take that lad from.Worthing that's a great finish I've seen today popesque.

  20. Player of the season a tough one to call .

I'd give it to Ethan Chislett .

With better players around him we should be challenging near top of the league next year he really stands out .

Ben Garrity when payed usually a reliable 6 out of 10 only challenger.

Young player of year Baylee Dipepa.

Would anybody want a trophy when relegated I think not they didn't have one last year because the players downed tools for DC .

We seem to be that kind of club yearly

Time to be rid of these unlikeable characters

    The down tools club.

That's good no offence but it showed it was blatant as .

Exeter 2 up should have been 4 up first half second half come out like they were done conceded, 4 looked a pile of <ovf censored> and played like it .NOT FIT last 46 mins never mind 90 plus

V Fleetwood 2 up maybe should have been more half time come out played like there bodies, and minds  were finished at half time drew 2 -2 lucky not lose 5-2 by end of game as Fleetwood players fit as a fiddle .

There just two examples v Peterboro away I thought first half we were saving our energy for second half crikey second half Peterboro were going past us so easily it was absolutely disgusting considering 3 days earlier they had won cup and played on energy sapping Wembley pitch , they  obviously celebrated if not they are not like most modern day party loving footballers.,but still could outrun snd out play us due to our horrific FITNESS.
