It was a pleasure to see him in a Vale shirt and I hope he remembers us as much as we will remember him.

Let's just hope they don't take the Alan Partridge "Bouncing Back" approach

And that’s that. Be careful what you wish for “Championship Ready” thanks Carol !!!!

This is the worst type of relegation where it is based on mismanagement, malaise and overconfidence.
If we were promoted as scrappy underdogs, had a much smaller budget and we fought hard but narrowly went down, you could accept it.
The problem is we are left with a team of losers on lg1 contracts, who have nothing about them.
The only players I want to keep will go, and I don't blame them. Garrity and Chislett both deserve a decent move to a mid table league one team.
Aside from all that the only thing that gives me hope for next season is our youth team. Seems like we are beginning to get that pipeline of players and most I've seen have been decent. Also the plant, Shorrock, Lomax crop etc will all be a year older and hopefully a bit more physical.
Over confidence and arrogance running through the club hierarchy from top to bottom. Well this is where it has got you. Learn and Learn quickly.

My two pence.
I think anyone seriously calling for Carol's head really really needs to take a long hard look at where we were under Smurf and where we are now.
On the pitch it's absolutely garbage, Carol is not a football expert and employed an absolute ball bag to oversee football operations who spent loads of money on terrible players and terrible managers. The only fault I place at her door is that she was too loyal both to flickdick and Crosby (although in hindsight what could he do with the utter maggots in the squad we've got).
Off the pitch, we've got toilet issues, but we've also got a lot of positive stuff going on. The Academy is flying, due to competent people being put in place to run it in will ryder. Toilets aside we are making improvements in our facilities year on year.
She's not perfect, but the accounts alone show that we are absolutely indebted to her both for positive cash flow and for saving us from Smurfs greedy mits.
Were all angry right now, she put our squad building in the hands of a charlatan and he's delivered a relegation for us. But be careful what you wish for trying to chase her out.
I think the majority of fans will agree and thank Carol for buying the club, I don't think that's the issue.
What they talked about when they took over included transparency, communication, getting it right on the pitch 1st and more recently "Championship Ready".
On saving the club 10 out of 10. On the the other items, well this is the issue, this is where the discontent starts.
Little if no transparency or communication (other than a very ill judged open letter to the fans), far from getting it right on the pitch and a million miles away from Championship ready.
All we want are owners that will give us Transparency, Communication and Getting it Right on the Pitch as a Priority.

I think Darren Moore will have an exit clause in his contract if Vale get relegated. This wasn't his team, he is an ambitious and fairly successful manager and I just can't see him wanting to manage a L2 club.
-
The thing that still gets me to the core is Carol's statement of "Championship Ready".
What this does is set expectation. This get's people excited with confidence that the club that they love is finally being being run with passion, strategy and a clear vision for progression.
Then comes reality, a lie, broken promises and disappointment.
The worse thing you can do in a business is over promise and under deliver, which Carol has done. My trust in the Vision, Process and Leadership of the club I have supported for over 40 years has now gone.
If you are unable to run a successful business delivering customer satisfaction then please hand it over to somebody that can. UTV.

Hopefully a platform for Ryan Loft to build upon, hopefully a confidence boost for the team, hopefully the team will fight tooth and nail in the remaining games, hopefully 3 more points on Friday and whoever knows we might just stay up.....hopefully.
-
Just got back from Burton, well there you go 3 points. Not the best game but the best performance from the team in a long time, fight, commitment, better cohesion and never stopped running. Really pleased Ryan Loft had his best performance in a Vale shirt and he deserved the goal, let's just hope he continues where he left off. Well done lads maybe a lifeline.

I've never known anything like it .
Silence is deafening
Are you Carol if you read this going let this continue .
It's pretty damn obvious to me and many others that the Players felt you got rid of the wrong person ,(im.guessing by there overall efforts since Crosbys departure that they felt it should have been DF)and have now decided its going be non stop misery for the support until you get rid of the real culprit .
Why just not put him on gardening leave .
Or you going choose the person who responsible for everything that touches the ball over the support who are constantly getting short changed for 18 months
What kind of business doesnt get the best people in do the job and keep people interested in paying for the product .
Look at the dwindling gates
Look at the overall way your professional people are performing .
Look at how each and every hardworking supporter who pays the same price for season tickets as Stoke pay for there's are feeling
There's literally thousands who are constantly upset by the way things are going and they may walk away and who can blame them
Why have you not come out and say your furious with the position we find ourselves or are you accepting of this nonsense
So what you going do last 9 games of this crumbling football club going do about it .
Get a reaction out of your playing staff
I really don't think anything will be said and nothing will be done and to be honest it is disgraceful. Championship ready.....sold a lie, no ambition, no idea, no respect for the supporters.

Burton Albion, ground capacity around 6,000 average home attendance arond 3,500 finished above Vale last season, above Vale again this season, doesn't seem right or are they just a much better run club ?

Gary Madine doesn't have a club. Neither does Connor Wickham.
Lee Gregory not in the Wednesday squad list so can't play for them - could be released in order to find a new club (knows Moore well).
Madine and Wickham are the 2 standout candidates that could do a job for us at least until the end of the season. Would be happy with either of them.

This is our 2nd season in L1 and I think we’re doing ok. As long as we keep moving forward it's progress. Was quite shocked to see Forest Green at the bottom of L2 after their success a couple of seasons ago but were not in that position were holding our own and hopefully slowly progressing. It's clear a number of supporters on these pages have been Vale fans for many years (as have I) and we endure the rollercoaster but we are Vale, it's in our blood. I think we have the basis of a good side, I think AC is a very honest and genuine manager, let's remember this is his first managerial appointment and he is also learning. Results last night show us what we are capable of and can be capable of and hopefully it continues. UTV.

Charlton away - got absolutely battered and won due to 2 massive defence errors from the Charlton defence
Reading - Awful for the first 45 minutes won with a fluke goal
Exeter away - Crozbore
Bristol Rovers away - Crozbore
Blackpool away - Crozbore
Barnsley away - 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Peterborough home - Crozbore
I really don't think you will ever be satisfied unless we win every game playing like Brazil

Its not about being championship ready. Its not about being in the play offs, well not yet. Its about giving it a good go in every game instead of this boring Crozbore that we now have.
How many more mind-numbing games have we got to put up with.
Exeter = Crozbore
Middlesbrough = Crozbore
Wycombe = Crozbore
Cheltenham = Crozbore
Derby County = Crozbore
Shrewsbury = Crozbore
Charlton away - fantastic away day
Reading home - decent performance
Blackpool away - good football, battled, unlucky not to get all 3 points
Oxford away - deserved win
Mansfield away - great night for the fans
Exeter away - battling performance - 3 points
Wigan home - best performance of the season so far
Its not all bad, inconsistent maybe but not all bad. We will continue to have bad days every team does, but we will also have goods days. I think if we get a couple of proven strikers we will see a difference. AC needs to be given a chance and also some better players in keys areas to see what he can really do or not do with this team.

What do we all really expect ? What are realistics expectations ? We are a small to medium sized club with a small to medium sized fan based compared to clubs around us in L1 and above us in the Championship. One of the problems that Carol created was "championship ready". This statement sets with some people an unrealistic time frame expection that causes discord and frustration if not quickly met. Football is a business, its about the P&L account, to be really successful you need buckets and buckets of money to invest year on year. We have to manage our own expectaions and for clubs like the Vale success comes slowly over time it will not be instant. Back the team, back the manager there will be good days and bad days, we are Vale.

One of the reasons I am in 2 minds to renew my season ticket or not is because of the strikers that we currently have at the club. If Uche and Loft are going to be the 1st choice strikers next season in my opinion what's the point of going ?
