  1. A Manager is paid to get the best results that they possibly can, whatever industry that you work in. And in the Football industry you're paid quite well to do that, Moore for me isn't worth the 5 year deal nor the wages that'll be going on his bank.

2 wins out of 15 is utter sh**e. Whatever way you look at it.

Granted they aren't his players but listen listen his post match interviews, that wouldn't inspire my dog to f****** run around. And he's zooming at walkies😅.

I can't see us getting rid of him but I think the best thing for Port Vale is a complete revamp of the infrastructure of the club, what's that going to cost I don't know. I just don't think that Moore is up for it personally, complete lack of personality and fight.

  2. One of the poorest 2nd halves I've ever witnessed in 23 years of supporting the Vale.

It's starting to really hurt now. I had hope until today. Ultimately but a few weeks can't wash away a year and a half of neglect and bad decisions. This unfortunately doesn't just fall on the departed Flitcroft but also Carol who as an owner should forsee her plan or in other words her INVESTMENT crumbling before her eyes. You got away with it by the skin of your teeth last year, this year you've managed to outdo yourself and leave it too late to sack the DoF who survived 3 managers up until his departure.

Furthermore Darren Moore. Is he the man  to take us forward when the inevitable happens?

A win % of 15 says otherwise, considering we gave him the 5 year deal, which again brings me to Carol, who must have had some say in this decision. It reeks of softness which pretty much sums up our season. Kind and soft and rolling over none of which should be associated with my beloved Port Vale FC.

  3. We are about to see how bad this team really want it.

Take the passion and the togetherness into any game as we did with Burton and we stand a chance.

As long as they turn up and try their damn best now, that's all I want. Shows really how poor its been.

All eyes will be on Loft today, he should have some confidence in himself from last week and good on him for getting that goal.

Really is the hope that kills you isn't it? I'm going 1-0 Vale, Loft to score a tap in.

I think this sums up where we are at. I think Flitcroft has been rather shrewd and cunning with regard to his relationships with the club officials and with Carol in particular. During his tenure it would appear that all personnel who were close to Carol were forced to fall on their sword at some point or other. I think Flitcroft wanted to be the sole conduit between Carol and the rest of the club, Garlick went, Speed went, not to mention two managers. I suspect that according to Flitcroft all failings associated with the club are the fault of everyone else and not him. Fortunately he wasn’t fooling us, I bet if he had the chance he would try to convince Carol to sack the fans.

He should  definitely have been sacked on February 1st.

Best Post on here in months. Agree with everything except he should have been sacked December 31st. So we could have had a good go at the Jan transfer window.

Maybe she didn't want to spoil his Christmas holidays?

  5. Good riddance - his position became untenable  whether sacked or resigned we can look to rebuild now.

He survived up to 3 managers in 2 years and you could argue 3 windows I say 3 because the summer, although some quality was recruited I.e Ripley he failed to address key positions in his ideology of how he wanted Port Vale to play football that's the wingbacks and a solid Striker, I'm sorry but if we had fulfilled them positions I'm not saying we would be world beaters but we'd certainly be higher and we'd look a lot better if we kept Pett and he somehow perhaps persuaded a Hall to stay (granted i know that his issue was location, but money talks, and Vale are a poorer side without him.) With the exception of Arblaster and Devine we seem to have opted and relied heavily on young loan players and you just can't get away with that, there has been no spine to this team and if we still insist on playing this way in the summer I'd say whoever is in charge of recruiting players has to and it is critical to address these 3 positions.

Which brings me to my next question...Do we really need a DOF?

  6. David Flitcroft.

    - Appointed a manager with next to Jo experience at this level without interviewing any other potential Calibre candidates in Andy Crosby, as nice of a guy he is he' no manager.

    - Failed to replace arguably one of the best players at the time Connor Hall.

    - Failed to replace Ellis Harrison who by no means was an out and out Goalscorer but was a useful player instead opting on utilising youngsters such as Odubeko and Josh Thomas or otherwise spending an actual budget on Ryan Loft who's numbers never indicated he was never going to be a success so ultimately he's brought a player in who essentially is a panic buy, in an area we've desperately needed to strengthen. How does that work Flickers? Where does the stats indicate that Ryan Loft would have been a successful signing given that he was out for most of last season and his goal return to appearances in nothing short of abysmal.

    - Signs Williams on loan, whether injured or bad attitude you can decipher this in two ways. Didn't we sign players with 'Good references' from other clubs? If his attitude stinks surely his reference from Aberdeen would be <ovf censored> if he's been injured most of the season then surely that signings not justifiable.

    - insists on a 5 at the back formation yet we have 1 out and out fullback at the club I'd argue on Clark who has been out for ages, no out and out LWB.

At the end of the day David Flitcroft is a DOF and his primary focus should be to build a culture and squad capable of competing in league one, he has failed.

A nice new scoreboard and pitch are useless to me if we are not the teaming winning on it, I am sorry.

Therefore he has to good it will turn toxic if it has not already and Carol needs to see sense, if not, then we will only decline. You've got my signature, Flitcroft out.

Someone’s having a poor game, a poor run of form, has just misplaced a pass or made a mistake or heaven forbid passed it backwards… what’s the best way to give that player some support? I know some fat middle aged blokes booing them and calling them <ovf censored>, that’s how.

Like I say, they've paid their money. They're entitled to an opinion. That's reality.

They don't care that their words may be adversely affecting someone - as long as they get to open their big gobs and show how clever they are!

Always has been and always will be like that whether its right or wrong you're in the public eye! I'd love someone to call me sh** every week if it meant I was on their money! That's the reality. At the end of the day we pay money to see this as its our form of entertainment within the community as lont as its not taken to an extreme I.e harassment or threats then an opinion will always be that.

  9.  Good luck to Tommy. Strange to see other players come through before him on a perhaps more consistent basis  at the Vale I thought he looked lively and eager in a vale shirt. Wish we saw more in fairness, must be doing something right, best of luck kid

  10. Surely Carol looks at this and thinks what the **** , doesn't take a football genius to realise this is a complete and utter joke. We've gone from what you'd assume is a process and you could tell perhaps the calibre of player we were after earlier in the regime I.e our play off promotion season to throwing sh** at the wall and hoping it sticks.

There's no criteria to any of our signings and we've not only not addressed KEY signings I.e wingback and a striker but we've now AGAIN shown regression in other departments of our squad.

Ultimately here,  the blame falls on Flitcroft. But I also think Carol needs to be asking the question of how long can this carry on for for me the club needs a complete restructure in the playing and recruiting staff. Yet again feeding off the scraps that no other club seems to want.

    Nowhere near acceptable.

Ripley, Leutwiler, Yak, Lowe, Deborah, Sang, Grant, Clark, Balmer, Devine, Arblaster, Loft, Uche, Thomas, Chislett and Wilson (after releasing him).

I'd say Ripley, Jesse, Sang, Devine, Arblaster and Chizzy have been good. So 6 out of 16, or 37.5% success rate.

As good as Arblaster and Devine have been aswell we'll be lucky to see him in a vale shirt again so we've only had him half a season and Devine could be recalled and sent out to a higher standard team both of them had no right be as good as they have proven to be in my opinion they were chancer signings! Look at all the young lads on loan we've had in the past 2 seasons and how many can we say did the business?

God forbid we have another window where we sign players like Ripley, Debrah,  Arblaster, Devine, Chislett and Iacovetti

Yak has been okay at best. Hampered by injury.

Debrah has been quality most games.

Sang is inconsistent but when is on form he can change a game

As good as Arblaster and Devine have been they are complete chancer signings and not even permanent! Young lads who again have been bright sparks in this team, but on paper were very much a risk!

Ripley is very much at the minute hit and miss off his line way too much but is a good stopper I actually contribute this more to the coaching staff however.

Chislett has been the best permanent signing.

Don't even want comment on loft much more than when I see his name on the teamsheet I order two more ales at the bar to help me get through it😅

I wouldn't say the summer was a failure but we've certainly had dud signings and I'd dare say more were unspectacular than positive.

For me in January we need two more attacking/athletic wingback so Ripley has an option either side to distribute the ball to them and get us up the pitch more quickly and more direct.

  13. I think that the thing that frustrates me the most about us lately is this wingback system.  We look completely isolated in the latter third of the pitch and its not even though we are putting that extra man at the back to good use as we our defending is still awful.

I personally think we need to sack it off and play  4-4-2 and take the game to Blackpool Friday now, if I was Crosby I'd be thinking this too, it HAS to be <ovf censored> or bust for him. He's losing the backing of the supporters very very quickly.

  14. Wing backs on both sides have to take priority this January no exceptions if we are to continue to persist with this formation and system.

Josh Emmanuel is a good start if we can get him training with us before then and sign come January surely that gets him match ready by then?

Also will Carol continue to back Crosby if he’s still in charge if we are in a underwhelming position?
