11 hours ago, Warren said:I know we want to be positive and rightly so. PV played well on a poor pitch and deserved to win. Good defending. Goals well taken. But let's not get carried away. Both goals were awful defending by Bristol. The first goal was about the ball being given away and no tackling. The second was a mazy run and good finish - but come on Balee should have been tackled or fouled near the start. He was waived through.
Bristol were way off it today. I can see they are suspect at the back. But also they looked threatening without hitting the target with shots.
We need more Bristol like teams to stay up. We also need to keep working on attack because the rest of the teams we face - especially away - are unlikely to so poor at the back. What a clown in goal!!
Bristol weren't allowed to be on it today but that was not their doing it was down to our work rate DM has got the players set up right from front to back and fighting for every ball Brizzle didn't stand a chance. Defenders at this level will always make mistakes if you put them under pressure, this is division three after all, too many times this season we haven't done that but now we are forcing defenders into errors instead of allowing other teams to dominate us and force errors out of us. I give DM a lot of credit for instilling belief into players who had clearly given up. Yes we have tougher challenges to come but don't give other teams credit for our wins we earned that result ourselves, nothing Bristol could do about it on the day.

I don't think he had any choice but to leave. He oversaw a relegation battle last season and we are currently adrift one place off the bottom this season. His recruitment team, his manager, his plan, his failure. Its called taking responsibility just a shame it took so long.

I have to admit that I'm really struggling to even listen to this on the radio. I have tried to start every game feeling positive, telling myself that this might be the game we turn it round and I dont want to miss it etc etc but the last 4/5 games I just feel like the players have completely given up so it seems pointless me bothering. Ive watched virtually every game this season but honestly I think Im done with it until next season I'm not even seeing the tunnel never mind the light at the end of it.

I wouldn't call them the worst but then again I wouldn't say they were any better than the worst. I certainly wouldn't back them to beat the worst. In fact I wouldn't confidently back them to beat our women's team the women would probably bully them. I do think this is the weakest bunch of players I have ever seen and my first season was 1972. Sang couldn't get the ball off my 82 year old mother. There is no fight in any of them just short periods where one or two have a go for five minutes but then they give up. There is some level of technical ability in some of these players but they allow teams to dominate them so they don't get the chance to play. You have to win the ball before you can do anything with it.

Just out of interest if we do start with a back 4 and concede 3 or 4 what do we go to then............ asking for a friend
I would hope we give a new formation a bit longer than one game before we give up on it.

Plant ready and fully fit for Cheltenham.
Not picked, not even for the bench
I hadn't heard that, if true I can't imagine why.

4-2-3-1 Happy with that nice to see Garrity back on the bench, did I dream it or did AC say that Plant was back training on the grass in one of his last interviews? If so he should be close. I don't know how well they will take to it with not having long to implement a formation change but I hope he persists with it because going forwards I think it will get us more points than sticking with a wing back system that hasn't worked all season.

I would settle for a draw whilst understanding that a draw isn't enough. I am still pretty much convinced that we will go down I just want us to continue our present form and go down fighting. If we win I would have to start believing and that's normally when things go <ovf censored> up 😄
