  1. Would love to see the Bycars/Hamil/Railway Paddock knocked down and rebuilt. All 3 are no where near steep enough and offer awful views wherever you sit.

The Railway Stand is okay but you then have the issue with pylons blocking the view. Knock them all down, rebuild them as one solid stand but much steeper and closer to the pitch. Perhaps move the pitch over towards the Lorne Street, too.

As far as newer grounds go, I really like Shrewsbury’s. 3 stands similar to theirs (maybe slightly bigger) would be perfect.

I'd get foyle in as head of recruitment with no director of football. At least he knows what the club means and understands the fans and local area.

This is what will probably happen.

  3. Said when Crosby went we should have approached Evans. Exactly the sort of manager we actually need and the last of a dying breed, despite the fact that he’s a bit of a <ovf censored>, he shows more than an ounce of passion and fight. Doubt he would have come at the time, though, as Stevenage were doing well.

  4. Entire squad needs gutting. Need 6-7 late 20s/ewrly 30s lower league players with experience, fight and a bit about them. We are desperate for a captain amongst them. Also add in 4-5 early-mid 20s lads who have played reasonably regularly in League Two or even League One. Add in a couple of younger lads (maybe from non league) who are hungry to prove themselves.

<ovf censored> this loaning young players from Premier League sides off, at least for now. Pointless having a season long loan if it always comes with an option of “if they’re doing well they’re coming back”. Losing Arblaster and Devine has (arguably) relegated us as with those pair all season we’d probably have stayed up.

  5. As much as I think he might do better with his own squad (because, let’s be honest this one is dire) I really don’t like how he refers to Vale in the third person constantly. It smacks of huge arrogance, almost as though we are beneath him and he doesn’t really want to be here.

I have been tempted on many occasions to comment on here but stopped you will all be please to learn Carol was seen at the awards evening on Sunday apparently looking gaunt and extremely emotional l suggest you read this post every time you want to plough into her she does not deserve any of the vile stuff being hurled at her

She also didn’t deserve to be ripped off by you. None of us did, actually.

  7. Not sure we NEED a director of football but we do need a team of scouts headed by somebody to oversee it all and work with Moore in getting an entire new squad. Somebody the fans know and like would be ideal. Maybe Martin Foyle (who is apparently a scout for St Mirren) or somebody with an affiliation to the club would go a way to helping Carol repair things with the fans.

  8. Didn’t particularly rate Clarke when he was our manager to be honest. He got us over the line (just) and there were some great performances under him but there were also some atrocious outings (Walsall and Salford at home the season we went up stick out)

I’d like to see Moore given a chance with his own squad. Hopefully he can use his contacts or we can get a decent scouting network set up ASAP and build for next season, whatever division we are in (though, I think that will be League Two).

  9. At present, no. But, she needs to admit that she was wrong and that she/her board/DF have made mistakes. That open letter was patronising to the very life blood of the club who more often than not come from generations of die hard Vale fans.

The current situation is embarrassing. We’ve turned into an absolute circus. We will not stay up and will lose money being relegated. We are also looking likely to miss out on a proper Potteries derby, something a lot of the younger generation of Vale fans have never seen.

Not really true is it? Got to maintain a relationship with the people he's interviewing, and he does ask those questions that people want asking, for instance when Crosby went through his period of not playing strikers he asked him. He asked him if he was under pressure in his job. Sorry, but I know Phil and he puts a lot of time and effort into striking a balance between asking questions and being fair. He can't just go in and ask "why is Ryan Loft <ovf censored>?" because he'll be told not to come back again.

If you think he's bad, listen to the bloke who covers Stoke or McGarry at Crewe who want to be their manager's best mate.

The fact that DF is ACTIVELY avoiding doing an interview with Radio Stoke says a lot. He’s avoiding because he knows they will ask awkward questions that he won’t have rehearsed podcast answers to.

You cannot lose 30 out of last 53 games and believe in these players .

When everyone was getting excited about them.signing new deals I wasn't getting excited by the news because I remembered all the terrible self inflicted defeats done to rid the club of DC (he's just won 3 in a row with no players of what I'd call high quality at Cheltenham).

Then they announce the captain .

Could there be a worser captain in Vales recent history I think not .

It's all over and fans have had enough .

DM is like AC and DC just another person mugged off by these seasoned pros who have underwhelmed our supporters totally now .

In fact I'd day they have killed the club.

    Congratulations on your ineptitude

You are correct about Smith not being a captain. Should be Ripley or Garrity for me.

Dont know what your on about. Appointing a manager as DOF and her son as CEO in place of a well respected and very good man were strokes of complete genius.

This is honestly the one/two things that really irritate me. No way should DF be the DOF (he isn’t experienced enough and Carol literally said that DF wasn’t sure he wanted to get back into football, ffs!). Colin Garlick should never have been sacked and replaced with a lad in his 20s.

Totally agree. When Josh Thomas went back and we signed Dipepa, I said that Dipepa would be Thomas's replacement. We almost deserve what we get. Makes me wonder how we managed to convince Moore to come.

Wish we had seen more of him before he went back. Looked lively and pacey. A nightmare for defenders to deal with.

Exactly I know you put etc so I'll add some of the other names. Cheltenham,Exeter,Burton,Lincoln and Shrewsbury.

That's 9 teams who will have a lower playing budget or similar to ours. Maybe Lincoln are a bit out of place in my list as they get 8 to 9 thousand gates.

There's something amiss. Unbudgeted for 1/4 final  run. Record shirt sales . Reasonable average crowds of maybe 6200 come the season end. Yet we have not been able to attract any players despite our wonderful amazing off field behaviours. 🙄

    Exactly that.
