I'm a fan of Baylee, but I don't think it's mutually beneficial for him to stay longer in League Two, in fact I think it's in everyone's benefit if he leaves if top PL clubs are in for him for a good fee. Baylee gets to earn some really good money on a long contract, training with other top players & coaches with the best facilities going, rather than getting lumps kicked out of him by L2 centre-halfs. Rather than having one very talented but raw player in L2 we can use the cash to buy the 4 or 5 League 1 standard players we are going to need to get promoted out of L2 next year and make a better fist of life in L1 then we did last season. Assuming there is no release clause in his contract the transfer fee is going to be 7 figures, he is in the top 3 or 4 English centre forward prospects in his age group.

While technically it's in our own hands in reality I think we are relying on Burton continuing their recent form & probably more importantly Cheltenham not going on a run. If it is going to require 50pts, I don't see us getting there. Cheltnham's next 4 games are massive. Orient (A), Carlisle(H), Bristol R (H), Burton (A). They are all very winnable games, but they are down there for a reason. They have injury issues and a congested fixture list. If they pick up 9pts from those games then I don't see us staying up, but they could just as easily pick up 4 or 5 points and then we have a real chance.
