The Scottish Sun newspaper says that Port Vale’s Cristian Montano could move to a Scottish club in the summer.

Montano is one of a number of players to be out of contract in the summer and according to the newspaper:
LIVINGSTON are poised to sign pacy Port Vale wideman Cristian Montano.
Colombian Montano, 29, is out of contract at the Valiants and had attracted interest from other clubs down south.
But SunSport understands David Martindale has moved quickly to tie him down for next season.
Montano’s season has been disrupted by injuries but he has been a regular pick this season, often playing as an attacking left-back. If he does move, Saturday’s defeat to Grimsby Town will be his last Vale appearance as his red card means he is suspended for the remainder of the season.
The wideman joined Vale in 2017 when he was signed by then manager Michael Brown. He has made 138 appearances and scored seventeen times for the club during his four year stay in the Potteries.

Was DC`s Number 11 comment last night a Line of Duty clue? Or a red herring?
Sad to see that he might be leaving but if he is not to be offered a new contract pleased to see he has an alternative and at least if he goes to Scotland he wont come back to haunt us
It will be sad if he moves on. I think he brings that unpredictability to games with a little jinking run which then creates a cross or chance. Or popping up in the box to score a goal.
But I would like to think DC knows what he wants from his team next season and if he thinks he needs to move on I trust his judgement. UTV
Could be a good move for club and player. Bring a younger player in and go for fitter man.
Versatile at left black, mid field or left wing. Injuries could be a doubt but incoming management could sort out these issues. Totally committed lad but sending off must be curbed. Superb mental strength. KEEP HIM!!!
If he isn’t offered a new contract, obviously not in DC plans, if he is and wants to stay, I’m sure a fit Montana is an asset to us, I’m sure what players we have next season will be a lot fitter under new management, UTV
Good, making room for Clarke to sign somebody else,
Stay
Montano is a versatile and skilful player, albeit a little inconsistent and this season, prone to injury. A popular player with the fans. Fits with Clarke’s wing back system. Keep him.
Keep him hes worth a new contract and get us promoted next season.
