Port Vale lose second behind closed-doors game to top-flight Burnley

The Valiants lost their second behind closed-doors friendly in a matter of days as they ran out 3-1 losers to Premier League newcomers Burnley.

It follows Vale’s 3-0 loss to West Brom over the weekend.

Vale did at least score in this game as they took the lead. However, Burnley struck back with a brace for Josh Brownhill and another for Joe Westley.

The game was held at Burnley’s Gawthorpe Training Ground on Tuesday afternoon.

At this time, we have no details of the Port Vale scorer or any of the line-up.
