Port Vale supporters can tune in to watch New Zealand take on England this weekend on ITV1 with a good chance of seeing striker Ben Waine in action.
Both England and New Zealand are both involved in the World Cup finals this summer and as part of their warm-up the two sides are meeting in a friendly game. It is due to take place at 9pm UK time on Saturday 6th June and will be screened live on ITV1. The match will be played at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Port Vale striker Ben Waine is poised to join Chris Birchall as only the second current Port Vale player to take part in the World Cup finals. Birchall also played against England, albeit that was in a group game rather than a friendly.
Port Vale Internationals are a rare sight with the club only recording 18 full Internationals in its existence. Waine is one of just six players to score a goal for his country while a Vale player. He currently has six caps while at the club.
