Port Vale manager Jon Brady said his side lacked quality after they lost to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
The Valiants ended up losing 2-1 despite playing the majority of the game with a man advantage.

Brady told the media: “We have had some chances, just the quality is lacking, that final pass, final ball.
“In that final third, the decision making when we get in and around the box, that better pass but then we are trying to shoot when they have bodies.
“It is lack of quality in those moments. We have to find that extra pass. I talked to them at half time.
“It is five games in 12 days and players are breaking. Ben (Garrity) and Eli (Campbell) couldn’t play today because of various reasons with muscle soreness. And Connor Hall tried to play. He’s shattered and at half-time I had to make a change then physically… we went to a back line that really struggled against their front two.
“There’s the difference. That is a huge difference. A front line of Curtis, Pepple and Tolaj – and what have we got? That’s the difference. Their midfield ran all over us to be fair as well. We have to address it for next year because it’s not good enough.”
John Brady tell us something we don’t know, you might not know this John but it has been like this for most of the season, never mind it’s nearly over now.
I find it really refreshing to hear Jon Brady speak honestly and truthfully. Spot on Jon, previous managers would have hidden behind all sorts of lame excuses. Given the tools to do the job, I am sure that he will give it a good go next season in league 2. BUT, he is absolutely correct again, we will have to spend money on a strike force and not rely on free transfers and loanees. If ever a manager deserved financial backing by the Board, this is your man. So keep the faith Carol and give him the tools to realise our dreams and expectations for next season. UTV!
