Manager Jon Brady has praised defender Tyler Magloire for playing on with a broken nose during Port Vale’s 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town.
The defender was caught in a collision with team mate Elijah Campbell in the first-half and left the pitch with blood streaming from his nose. Such was the extent of the bleeding that the defender had to change the replacement blood shirt when that was also covered in blood. However, the centre-half continued for the remaining hour of the match as the side’s only recognised centre-half.
Vale had been hit with injuries before the game with Ben Heneghan on the sidelines and regulars Connor Hall and Kyle John affected by fatigue and a calf strain respectively and with no defenders on the bench it was vital that Magloire continued.
Brady told BBC Radio Stoke: “Tyler broke his nose in the first 20 minutes, it’s all over his face. He pulled himself off the floor, knowing we have nothing else, with blood streaming, and he played on.”
The defender played his part as the Valiants patched-up back-line kept a clean sheet. With Vale’s congested fixture list and injury list, the defender may wear a face mask in tomorrow night’s game at Blackpool.

What a Diamond !!!!!
