Port Vale manager Darren Moore says his job this week has been to ensure his team maintain the focus as he reflected on a late loss to Leyton Orient last weekend.
We’re twenty seconds away from everyone talking different. Looking like we’re going to win the game and the last twenty seconds we get done by a sucker punch. We don’t quite shut it down. Everyone connected with Port Vale will have had an indifferent week because of those twenty seconds. That’s football and it happens. My job as a manager is to maintain a focus that we need to be better and we’re looking forward to the Exeter game which is the next opportunity to be better…
Vale lost 3-2 after a late Orient winner and Moore told the media: “The bits we’ve identified are the one-on-one battles and making sure we are winning those duels. There’s moments in our games where there are needless giveaways and those bits we need to get better at.

The Valiants could be boosted by the return of captain Ben Garrity and experienced striker Jayden Stockley from injury. Moore added: “Garrity and Stockley will have definitely both benefitted from the week (free of midweek games). We will analyse them at the end of the week.”
The Vale manager says he’s looking forward to the side’s next game at Exeter concluding: “Gary (Caldwell) has been there some time now and doing some fantastic work. They’ve started their season probably hot and cold. They like to get the ball down and play. It will be a tighter environment but it’s a game we are looking forward to. “

Still not totally convinced of liam gordons left back role also feel george byers not upto fitness at the minute but good to see ben garrity back and we look sharper in forward positions
