On loan Aston Villa goalkeeper Joe Gauci made his eighth appearance for his country on Tuesday, in the process becoming the 16th Port Vale player to earn a full International cap.
The keeper came on in the 86th minute of Australia’s 3-1 win over New Zealand after starter Paul Izzo appeared to pick up a knock.
According to our records, that makes Gauci the sixteenth Port Vale player to earn a full International cap while at the club. He is also the club’s first-ever Australian International player.
The 25 year-old has made three appearances for the Valiants so far since joining on loan.
