Jordon Gabriel well he’s now a Vale player but very worried that aged 28 he has only made 99 appearances. Only time will tell if he’s been a good buy .

First impression of new home strip feel let down why off white and not bright white it looks like it’s been washed so many times that the colour has really faded. Embroidery also needed to be much brighter to really stand out. I was expecting a shirt which would stand out and celebrate the club’s 150 history.

My opinion sorry but worst strip since Carol and family brought the club can only give it a C-

Could be a good signing but we have recruited some players at the same age but not many appearances over 5 or 6 seasons. I was not too impressed with the new kit and will not be purchasing . Seems so dull and looks as it as been washed in the River Trent.

I don’t normally agree with many people but on this occasion Chris Hopkin says it all. Just how many wingbacks do we need? As for the new kit did Vale actually play in Cream and Black in 54 ?

I have looked up the stats for Jordan Gabriel on a couple of data sites and they seem to indicate he has played far more than 99 games, something around 140+ including cup games. 45 of them were in the Championship as part of the starting 11.
Don’t know if that’s of any use. However, I think he seems a decent signing, but begs the question ‘is Clarkey moving on?’.
Finally, I like the new strip as it reminds me of when I started watching the Vale in the 1950’s socks and all. Nice bit of nostalgia.

Signing Jordan Gabriel is a good start to Vale’s League 1 recruitment. He’s always impressed me when playing for Blackpool, has decent experience (158 League & Cup appearances reported on Wikipedia), and at 26 is the right age towards reaching his peak. Satisfied too with the new kit. Traditional design and throwback to the 1950’s and 1995-96 season, especially if the players wear black boots.
