Couldn’t agree more. My first season following the Vale. Brings back many memories even though they are becoming quite distant.
Looking forward to seeing it next season.

Great kit. But socks are better black or white .not hoops ..hey but that’s just me ..at least it’s a nice plain shirt n shorts..could have been worse ..like wonky stripes .ay saying that would love to see amber n black stripes on away kit ..no that would be going back to that erea.

It is a nice touch to remember the 150 year retro touch and I love the new kit

The Black shorts should remain as part of our kit forever .
Will be buying this shirt
I have been watching the Vale since 1967

It’s HORRIBLE! Did Vale actually play in Cream and Black in 53/54? Also I don’t recall PVFC embroidered on the shirt, not to mention cheap advertisement plastered on it. If they wanted to do a replica 53/54 kit that’s fine, do it correctly and sell it separately from its 2025/26 club shirt. If they wanted to celebrate 150 of Port Vale, why didn’t they ask the EFL if they could use “Burslem Port Vale” for the season or just one game. How unique would that be? And why use a badge with PVFC, a badge that didn’t appear until the 1970s. In all the photos which I have or have ever seen the Staffordshire Knot is Port Vale’s first badge. Everything about it stinks of being half hearted, ill educated and lazy. Hancock all over !

Rob, Always down to personal choice but it’s a cream copy of the 70s kit with short sleeves. The neck the collar the badge , Nothing to do with the 53/4 season . You may as well say last season’s kit was in honour of the 53/4 season and the season before that, at least they were black and white. To me it’s not inspired to do a cream copy of a 70s shirt !

I think it’s exactly what the press release said is was. It isn’t a copy, it’s a “nod to our history”, it has a “retro feel” and for that reason I think it’s great. Each to their own but 1,850 sales in 24 hours tells its own story of what the majority think and if the club are indeed pleasing the majority then they deserve a lot of credit and not complaints.
