Port Vale manager Darren Moore spoke of his pride after guiding the Valiants back into League One and says there has been a lot of “hard work” to achieve promotion.
Speaking after the club’s final game of the season, Moore told the media: “I am elated with what we have achieved this season. When you look at the four teams who went down last season, and where we are 12 months later, it shows the outstanding work that everyone has done at Vale Park.
“The road is never straight or easy. There has been a lot of hard work. But I am really pleased for the club. It was a proud moment for me to walk down the tunnel and see Vale Park full. It really did make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up because it really shows the magnitude of what has been achieved.
“I thank all the fans, not just for today, but for the consistent support they have shown all season.”
