Port Vale wingback Jaheim Headley is approaching match fitness but fellow wingback Kyle Johns is out for the rest of the season.
It’s contrasting fortunes for the wingbacks.
Darren Moore spoke about Headley at Thursday’s press conference saying: “Jaheim is really good. He is back in training and getting the volume he needs so we are really pleased to have him back.
“We are just monitoring the volume. There are certain markers that we want him to hit and he is getting through that at the moment.”
However, it’s no so good news for John, who has enjoyed an impressive debut season at the club culminating in being awarded the young player of the year. Moore confirmed: “He will be out for some weeks, I think it will be his season over and done with really. We thought it might have been a more extensive injury but it will still be a period of time.”
