Crystal Palace striker Jemiah Umolu joined Port Vale on loan in January 2025 in a deal which would last until the end of the season.

Umolu had not made a senior appearance before the move but he had impressed as the then top-scorer in Premier League Two.

A powerful forward who initially joined Crystal Palace on loan, he was considered a good addition for the Valiants with manager Darren Moore commenting: “Jemiah represents a fantastic addition to the squad here at Vale and will offer us another excellent attacking option in the second half of the campaign.

“He’s an exciting young player with a natural ability for scoring goals, and someone we’ve been really impressed by this season, so we’re delighted to have him on board.

“We thank Crystal Palace for trusting us to continue Jemiah’s development and I’m sure he will receive a fantastic welcome from his team-mates and the Vale supporters.”

The player failed to make a start but did have nine sub appearances – with the highlight an assist for Ryan Croasdale in a 5-0 win over Bromley.
