Summer signing Diamond Edwards has joined National League South side Weymouth on a month’s loan, the club have confirmed.
Former Southampton player Edwards had an eye-catching debut, scoring within moments of entering the pitch against Salford City in the Football League Trophy. However, his appearances since have been severely limited with the player making just three more appearances.
A Vale statement said:
We can confirm that Diamond Edwards has joined National League South side, Weymouth, on a month-long loan.
Edwards, 21, joined the Valiants in the summer of 2025 following a successful trial period with Darren Moore’s side and has since made three competitive appearances across all competitions which included a debut goal against Salford City in the EFL Trophy.
Everybody at Vale Park wishes Diamond the very best of luck throughout his time with The Terras.

Good luck Diamond, plenty of potential but needs a run of games, met him at the “player sponsorship” event, my lads travel company is his home kit sponsor, we had a good chat with him really nice guy…..
Yet another player despite a promising start never given a chance I think probably lost out to loanees. Currently watching Notts County v Carlisle on SKY
I can’t understand to send contracted players out on loan and keep loanees in matchday squads. Must be soul destroying for Edwards and others. Manager still not up to the job and beggars belief at times with team selection and lineups.
