Port Vale manager Darren Moore heaped praise on keeper Connor Ripley after he pulled off a string of saves to earn the Valiants a draw at Bromley.
Ripley was the outstanding player in a Vale shirt as he produced a number of spectacular stops.
I thought he’d done really, really well again today and we needed him today. He’s certainly earned his crust today in terms of some outstanding saves…
Talking to the media after the game, Moore said: “The header in the first-half from the boy Cheek was an outstanding reflex save. To get a hand to it push it up over the bar and deflect it wide was fantastic.
“The reaction save at the end just goes to show what an outstanding keeper we’ve got. I thought he’d done really, really well again today and we needed him today. He’s certainly earned his crust today in terms of some outstanding saves. The saves today weren’t just routine saves. Credit to him he’s certainly earned us a point. We’re grateful to him.”
