Only one club and one manager wanted to win this game, Our bench was better than our starting line up and that says everything, we had no midweek game last week and have no midweek game this coming week, so why did we need to turn out a weakened team. With the constant 4 or 5 changes every game and the full use of the substitutes a lot of our players are not getting 90mins under their belts over 2 or 3 games, and they need resting, please ! Take Chislett, he had 60mins last week, was left on the bench saturday and doesn’t get chosen for away games. How is that good for a professional footballer. All professional footballers say, they would sooner play matches to keep their sharpness and fitness levels high rather than just train. With the history port vale have with cup competitions, and we have belittled both the league cup and the fA cup this season and got exactly what they Deserved. (its nice to know the club doesn’t need the riches a good cup run could bring) No doubt barnsley have high hopes of being in the promotion mix again, but they felt the competition and their fans Deserved their best efforts. Could it be even with wonderful medical staff the club keeps boasting about, all our injuries are coming about because no one is match fit anymore ?
