There has been no official announcement by Port Vale FC, but a news story on the Peterborough Sports website has confirmed that Port Vale defender Ben Lomax has joined the side on a short-term loan deal.
Peterborough Sports currently play in National League North and the Valiants will undoubtedly see the move as a chance for Lomax to play regular first-team football.
Lomax joined Peterborough earlier this month with the statement on the Peterborough Sports website saying:
We are delighted that Ben Lomax has joined Peterborough Sports FC on short term loan from League 2 side Port Vale. Ben brings strength and brilliant technical ability to the back line that will boost our defensive structure
Lomax has progressed through the club’s junior ranks to earn a professional contract. He made an impressive full debut in last season’s Football League Trophy clash with Wrexham which was described by Vale coach David Dunn as the best debut he had seen. He went on to make six appearances last season but has made just two this season as Vale’s squad strength has limited his game time.
To date, Lomax has made three appearances for his new side.
