To be honest he was never going to stay here for long, the Scottish league is a big pull with the opportunity of European football and playing at big stadiums like Hibs, Celtic and Hampden.

Anthony Johnson

I thought that we would release a defender, after signing Connor Hall. I thought it was likely to be The Yak or Dan Jones, as all three left sided. I thought Jones was more likely due to his injury record. But if the club are happy with his fitness then Iacovitti would be the better option to move on, as Jones can also cover at left back, if we are playing with a flat back four.
Now that we have four strikers, I expect that we’ll still play some games with a back three, but far more games with a flat back four, depending on the opposition and who is available.
Now that we have four strikers, I also think that we’ll start far more games with two strikers. With the current squad, there’s far more opportunity to be flexible with the formation and players. I know we don’t want to get carried away before we’ve even kicked a ball in anger but I can’t help feeling that we’ve got an exciting season to come.
