“We’ll get ourselves out of this mess” – Port Vale defender is optimistic about club’s survival hopes
Port Vale defender Alex Iacovitti believes that Port Vale can survive in League One despite the team’s disappointing defeat to Northampton Town on Easter Monday.
We’ll focus on ourselves, we’ll get ourselves out of this mess. Now we’ll go through what happened today in the week, build on it and put it right on Saturday…
The Valiants went down 2-0 to end a run of two wins in a row. Iacovitti, formerly with Ross County, was playing in his 32nd game for the club since joining in the summer.
The defender told the media: “It is really disappointing. This came off the back of two clean sheets and two wins. We just didn’t click today. We couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net but the first goal we gave away was poor.
“We have to be better there but then I think we had chances to win two or three games, so we have to be more clinical.”
“We’ll focus on ourselves, we’ll get ourselves out of this mess. Now we’ll go through what happened today in the week, build on it and put it right on Saturday.”

Utter balderdash….we have NO chance of remaining in League 1.
New Year’s Day sealed our fate.
