A club statement said:
Port Vale Football Club are delighted to announce the short-term signing of defender, Deklan Wynne.
The 29-year-old left back joins the Valiants to bolster Darren Moore’s defensive options until the end of the 2023/24 season following a successful trial period with the club.
An experienced defender, Wynne has spent the majority of his career playing throughout America and Canada, representing MLS and USL Championship outfits such as Vancouver Whitecaps, Colorado Rapids, Detroit City and, most recently, Charleston Battery.
Wynne also boasts a number of international caps to his name after representing New Zealand at U20, U23 and senior level.

Why now
What’s the point need a striker not another defender
another defender, are we going for nine at the back for the last few games
A left back. Much needed, but 50 games ago.
Interesting signing, presumably short term. Bringing in a proper left back to cover the absences of Jones and Clark makes sense. If this makes the defence more solid in the remaining games, so much the better.
Worrell. Benning left the best wing backs in recent memory. Thank you David FAILCROFT. Our Director of football replaced them with WHO.
I agree with Chris Lawton and splodger.
