Port Vale fined for failing to control players
Port Vale have been fined after receiving an FA charge during their 3-2 win over Wigan Athletic last year.
Both sides have been fined for failing to control their players during their League One game on the 16th December.
Players from both teams were involved in a “a mass confrontation” after Wigan’s Chris Sze went down in the Vale penalty area under a challenge from Connor Ripley.
Referee Marc Edwards ruled Sze had dived and both players were booked.
Vale were fined £3,750 and the Latics £6,500 after admitting the charge.
