Port Vale youngster extends contract with the club
Port Vale FC have announced that youngster James Plant has agreed a contract extension until at least 2027.
The substantial extension is due reward for a player who has progressed through the junior ranks to become a valuable member of the senior squad.
Manager Andy Crosby told the official website: “This new contract is extremely well-deserved; he has shown over the past few months that he has all of the attributes it takes to develop and he has an excellent chance to succeed in the game. He also has a real experienced head on his shoulders and conducts himself well beyond his years.
“He is in a good environment at Vale Park, the squad of players that he has around him are perfect for his continued development and the first-team staff are giving him all of the tools he needs to help him grow. If he continues to take on the information around him, the sky really is the limit for him.
“James should be proud of the player he has already become, he’s a shining example of what can be achieved when you put the hard work in and we’re looking forward to seeing him push on with his career.”
