Former Port Vale midfielder links up with former manager
Former Port Vale midfielder Tom Pett has reunited with former Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke at Cheltenham Town.
The 31-year-old has agreed an initial short term deal until January. He is the first player to be signed by Clarke since he took over from Wade Elliott as manager in September.
“I’ve been in touch with the gaffer over the last couple of weeks and I’m really happy to get it over the line,” Pett told the official website.
“I was really keen to work for a manager that I trust and he knows what I’m all about, so it was a win-win.
“You’ll run through brick walls for him, you can see the lads doing that now. That’s what I want to do for him and obviously for Cheltenham.”
