“Superwide” and “72 square metres” – more technical details emerge about Port Vale’s big screen
LED Screen specialists ADI have issued a press release about the forthcoming Vale Park stadium explaining that it will use “the same high quality product that can be found within 44 football stadiums across Europe.”
Port Vale announced details and concept images of the big screen earlier this month. It will be housed in the Old Family Stand corner.
Tech Specs
According to ADI’s press release, the big screen will use their superwide format which offers:
- A superwide 72 square metre LED display
- A 32:9 aspect ratio instead of the traditional 16:9
- Three separate content zones to deliver creative content, a live match feed, and sponsor activations simultaneously
- A 10mm resolution
- An eco-friendly and cost effective solution
- The ability to show live feeds of the game, instant replays, interviews, competitions, trivia, social media walls and more
- A design used in 44 football stadiums across Europe, including in the Premier League and Championship

We now have our hardware in over 44 football venues across Europe, showcasing our strength in delivering exceptional in-bowl experiences. The superwide display will give Port Vale a dynamic and high resolution display that can be used in a multitude of ways on a matchday and non-matchday events.”
As part of the deal, full content management and production training will be provided by ADI upon installation.
