Rumour: Port Vale “sensation” set to join Premier League side?
The Football Insider says that a Port Vale youth teamer is about to join Premier League side Newcastle United for a sizeable fee.
According to Football Insider:
Newcastle United are poised to sign Port Vale sensation Michael Mills after their bid was accepted, sources have told Football Insider.
The wonderkid, 14, impressed during a recent trial at Newcastle after catching the eye of their scouts while shining for Vale’s Under-15s.
The north-east giants have agreed to pay a fee for Mills that could rise to £200,000.
The move has yet to be confirmed by either club. However, Mills could follow in the footsteps of Joel Ndala who was signed from the Valiants by Manchester City for a sizeable fee back in 2017. Ndala has since featured for the England U18 side.
The Valiants’ youth team has been relatively successful in recent months. James Plant and Tommy McDermott have both moved up to agree senior contracts with the side while youngster Jack Shorrock became the club’s youngest-ever first-teamer when he made his debut this season.
