Former Valiants: trio of former Port Vale players find new clubs
Former Valiants Chris Hussey, Rekeil Pyke and Ryan Johnson have found new clubs ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Walsall sign Hussey after Stockport exit
Former Vale defender Chris Hussey has agreed a one year deal with Walsall after he departed Stockport County. Hussey left County after their play-off final defeat to Carlisle United. He was a member of the Port Vale squad which clinched promotion in the play-offs at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Grimsby snap up Pyke
League Two side Grimsby Town have signed former Port Vale loanee Rekeil Pyke. The striker has agreed a two-year deal with the club. Pyke spent part of the 2017-18 season on loan with the Valiants.
Johnson joins AFC Wimbledon
Former Valiants defender Ryan Johnson has agreed a two-year deal with AFC Wimbledon after leaving Stockport County on a free transfer. Johnson was signed by the Valiants in the summer of 2021 but left to join Stockport in January 2022.
