With thanks to David Brown, we have three photos of Port Vale in action in the late 1960s.
This first photo comes from the Port Vale 4-1 Brentford game which took place at Vale Park on the 21st October 1967. Vale’s goalscorers that day were Morris, Cullerton, Chapman and an own-goal and it was played in front of 5.944.
The second photo comes from the Port Vale 1-0 Swansea Town game which took place on the 28th December at Vale Park. It shows striker Roy Chapman scoring the winning goal. That game took place in front of a crowd of 5,431 and it was clearly a snowy day!
The third and final photo shows Port Vale in action against Halifax Town on Boxing Day 1967. It finished 2-1 to the Valiants with Chapman and Sproson on the mark. The crowd that day was 6,946.
