Defensive midfielder Brad Walker has become the club’s second departure of the January transfer window after joining Tranmere Rovers.
Walker joined the Valiants in the summer of 2022 but injury and strong competition for the central midfield spots have limited his appearances to 45 appearances and two goals.
When fit, Walker offers a physical presence and an attacking option with a range of raking passes.
Speaking to the club website, Brad said: “Firstly, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the fans that have supported myself and my family since I joined Vale.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to play for your club and the experience of last season is something I’ll never forget.
“I’d like to thank Carol and Kevin for giving me the opportunity to pull on the Vale shirt and all of the lads for being so welcoming and making my time at the club special, it’s been a time of my career where I’ll hold fond memories.
