Final fixture of the season altered to avoid coronation clash

The coronation of King Charles in May has resulted in the Football League fixtures being switched to alternative dates.

Following consultations with stakeholders the EFL board have approved changes to the final day of the Football League season which was due to take place on Saturday 6 May.

Vale’s home  game against Plymouth Argyle will now take place at 12pm on Sunday 7th May.

Elsewhere in the Football League, League Two’s final day has been moved to 12:30pm on Monday 8 May 2023 and The Championship final games will kick off at 3pm on the same day
