Ensure all supporters have the correct points – Port Vale announce they are working on loyalty scheme anomalies
Port Vale FC have emailed supporters to let fans know they are working on correcting errors to the loyalty scheme launched earlier this season.
The loyalty scheme was praised on launch. It was the club’s first-ever loyalty scheme and points would be accrued after season ticket. membership scheme or ticket purchases.
The points would allow the club to create a priority system for key/in-demand matches.
However, it has been subject to much criticism with many supporters pointing out errors or missing points on their accounts.
An email from the club said:
Please be advised that the loyalty points displayed on your ticket account may currently appear incorrect while the club works with our partners to update the system and ensure all supporters have the correct points attributed to their account.
Supporters who have seen their loyalty points tally reduce below what they believe is their correct total can be assured that their purchase history and subsequent points entitlement is protected and points accrued from previous purchases will be returned to ticketing accounts in due course. Any points accrued for tickets purchased for this weekend’s match with Sheffield Wednesday or our home fixture with Forest Green Rovers while this process takes place will be added to supporters’ accounts as part of the update.
We do not foresee this process impacting any upcoming fixtures as tickets for the Vale’s next away fixture – at Cambridge United on Saturday 22 October – do not go on sale until Monday 10 October, with further details to be communicated on ticket sales for our trip to the Abbey Stadium in due course.
We apologise for any inconvenience this issue has caused and thank you in advance for your patience while this system update is processed.
Thank you for your continued support.
