Never seen him play – Peterborough Utd manager denies interest in Ben Garrity

Peterborough United manager Grant McCann appeared to dismiss any interest in a move for Port Vale midfielder Ben Garrity.

Garrity had a sensational first season with the Valiants, scoring twelve goals, winning the player of the season award and helping the club to promotion.

Peterborough have been linked with a possible move for the midfielder with Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke commenting on the rumours in his Friday press conference. Clarke said: “There is always interest, agents and all that. Good players are always going to have interest. Do I want to lose any players that I don’t want to? No. But does every player have a price? Of course they do, that’s football.”

However, Posh boss McCann appeared to deny his club were interested telling the media: “I’ve never seen him play. Yes, we are hopeful of more coming in before the window closes. We are trying but Ben Garrity; I’ve never seen him play.”
