Port Vale added striker Ellis Harrison for an undisclosed fee from Fleetwood Town in August 2022. The player made his debut in a 0-0 draw with Bolton Wanderers on August 13th 2022 and scored his first goal in his second game – a 2-1 loss to MK Dons.

Speaking about the addition of Harrison, manager Darrell Clarke said: “I know a lot about Ellis because I made him, no disrespect to him, but Ellis would tell you that himself.

“He’s a physical presence, he can run, and he has a lot of excellent elements to his game, especially once we have the hunger back into his game and he’ll be a very good talent for us.”

Despite some spells out through injury, Harrison had a successful debut season, finishing as the club’s top scorer.

However, he decided to move on at the start of the 2023-24 season, joining MK Dons on deadline day for an undisclosed fee.
