“There’s interest in Ellis” – Port Vale manager responds to striker exit rumours
Port Vale manager Andy Crosby says “we’ll see what happens” after he confirmed that there was interest in striker Ellis Harrison from other clubs.
There has been speculation about a possible exit for last season’s top-scorer after he wasn’t named in recent squads. Crosby confirmed that the forward is fit and is aware of the interest in him.

Speaking to BBC Radio Stoke’s Phil Bowers Crosby said: “He’s fit, he’s available, he’s training. There’s interest in Ellis from a few clubs and he’s aware of the situation.
“From my point of view I have to look at the interests of the football club and the interests of the player and we’ll see whether by one minute past eleven tomorrow (when the transfer window shuts) the group of players we’ve got.”
Harrison was signed by Crosby’s predecessor Darrell Clarke in August 2022 and despite some injury concerns the striker managed a creditable eleven goals from thirty six appearances.
