Port Vale have launched a discounted membership scheme for fans who are not season ticket holders. It offers a range of discounts for fans.
A club statement said:
Port Vale Football Club is delighted to announce the launch a brand-new supporter scheme, the ‘1876 Membership’.
After taking on board feedback from supporters and as part of our pursuit to be ‘Championship Ready’, we have recognised the demand for the introduction of an exciting new membership scheme for Valiants that are unable to acquire a full Season Ticket.
The scheme will be a bridge between purchasing a season ticket and a match-by-match ticket.
Previously the club have given supporters the option to purchase 10-match-season tickets, the 1876 Membership will replace that and will give fans more flexibility than ever before when attending EFL home games.
Priced at just £15 per season, members of all ages will have access to the following benefits:

- £4 saving on matchday ticket prices in all home general admission areas of Vale Park. Discounts only eligible for tickets purchased prior to matchday. Any tickets bought on the day of a game will not be eligible for 1876 Membership discount.
- Priority access to all in-demand home and away tickets before they are released on general sale, following the access period to Season Ticket holders.
- 5% discount in our club shop. This excludes local range and sale items.
- More benefits to come.
When you sign up to the 1876 Membership scheme, you will be given a personal membership card with your own unique membership number.
If you are purchasing tickets and merchandise in-store, you will have to present your membership card at the point of purchase to be given your discount.
Should you be purchasing tickets and merchandise online, you will just have to log in with the email address that you provide us with when signing up and all discounts will be added automatically at the point of checkout.

A retro step not as convenient as the 10 Ticket scheme.extra visits to the ticket office or a move to the dreaded email ticket.The older fans do not like change.The fans who live further away will be inconvenienced

Sorry Willett, as an exiled fan, I totally disagree with you. This is brilliant news for me as someone out of the area. I can’t come often enough to justify a season ticket but I can get money off games I can attend and other discounts. I think there will be far more exiled fans welcoming the 1876 club than not.
