Port Vale striker Jamie Proctor agrees contract extension
Port Vale have confirmed that striker Jamie Proctor has agreed a contract extension.
The forward was signed in the summer of 2022 and enjoyed an excellent first season with the club as he scored 13 goals and helped the Valiants to promotion via the play-offs.
There are no details of the length of the deal for the 30 year-old Proctor.
Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke commented on the news saying: “Jamie had a tremendous season on the pitch last year, it was his best goals return of his career and he played plenty of minutes.
“He had one or two injury problems towards the back end of the season, but he never stopped putting his body on the line for the club so we’re looking forward to him getting as many games as he possibly can.
“He will also offer so much in helping the younger members of the squad, he’s a great leader in the changing room and I’m really pleased he’s decided to re-sign, especially after there were a lot of clubs interested in him.”
