Former Valiants: loan goalkeeper Tomas Holy finds new club
Former Port Vale loanee Tomas Holy has found a new club after being released by parent club Ipswich Town.
Holy joined Vale on loan from Ipswich in Janury 2022, originally as a replacement for the suspended Lucas Covolan.
Standing six foot nine inches tall, Holy became the tallest player to appear for the Valiants. However, his form during the loan spell was unconvincing and after nine games, Holy lost his place to Aidan Stone.
The Czech keeper was then released at the end of the season. The stopper has now joined League Two side Carlisle Utd on a two-year deal after leaving League One side Ipswich Town.
Carlisle boss Paul Simpson commented: “He’s a keeper I’ve known about for years.
“He’s done really well at Ipswich, and he’s had a couple of good loans, and obviously when I found he was being released and available I knew it was something I’d be interested in.”
